ProofStack field guide
Use Claude Code in a workspace built for the whole task.
Claude Code runs as a coding CLI in your project. ProofStack can place its terminal alongside other supported coding agents, so sessions, task context, and review stay close together.
What you need before opening a session
Install Claude Code using Anthropic's current setup instructions, authenticate through an account or service supported by Anthropic, and confirm the CLI works in a terminal. Installation and authentication requirements can change, so follow the official documentation for your operating system.
ProofStack is a separate desktop workspace. It does not include Claude Code, an Anthropic subscription, or provider usage. You remain responsible for the CLI, its permissions, and your provider account.
A practical Claude Code workflow
Begin with one repository and one clear task. Let the agent explain its approach, keep terminal output visible, then review the diff and run checks before accepting the change.
- 01
Open the project folder
Choose the repository you intend to change and confirm the CLI starts in that project context.
- 02
State the expected behavior
Describe the result and existing behavior that must remain intact. Ask for a plan first when the change spans multiple areas.
- 03
Watch the session
Follow commands and edits in the terminal. Stop to clarify permissions or assumptions that do not match the task.
- 04
Review and verify
Inspect the diff, run relevant checks, and handle any findings before you merge or release.
Work with Claude Code and other agents
You do not have to treat one coding CLI as the answer to every task. ProofSpace can keep installed compatible CLIs such as Claude Code, Codex, and Gemini in separate visible panes. Give each session a distinct assignment and avoid simultaneous edits to the same files.
For a coordinated squad, ProofSwarm assigns named roles to five agents. For independent sessions, ProofSpace keeps each terminal in view. In either case, one person should own integration and review.
Use current provider documentation
For installation, supported platforms, authentication, command options, and permission settings, check Anthropic's Claude Code setup and CLI references. ProofStack adds workspace organization around the CLI; Anthropic's docs remain authoritative for the CLI itself.
